Description

Settlers is a digital alternative to Settlers of Catan. It is peer-to-peer multiplayer. This means the server itself is a player and is hosted on that player's computer. This means you must setup your network for server hosting to play with friends.

Did You Know?: You can play with up to 32 players. (Though I don't recommend that right now with just the base board.)

IN BETA - Playable but still in development!

Issues still relevant:

  • Players still cannot trade with each other (This is a basic feature, but I am still trying to figure out how to add it to the UI without cluttering)
  • Sometimes the Road Building development card only allows players to place 1 road. The reason is still somewhat unknown
  • Players may use a development card in the same turn they have bought it
  • Slightly sloppy and unorganized code
  • Some UI buttons light up when they shouldn't to avoid confusion

Planned Features:

  • Player trading
  • More sound effects (toggle-able in the settings)
  • Make it more obvious who's turn it is and when a players turn changes
  • More game-modes and lobby customization for a premium (price depends on modes)

Controls:

W, A, S, D, Left Shift, Spacebar -> move camera

Q, E -> rotate camera horizontally

Hold Right Click + Move Mouse -> free rotate camera

Please consider donating to let me know I should continue to update Settlers! Once stable 1.0 is released, I will begin to add new game modes and features. The first mode I will add is likely seafarers. Any other mode will likely be locked behind a paywall unless I can make money through donations while developing the game. Please feel free to leave ideas here. I will figure out a reward for those players. I might also make the source code open-source once I make it actually look good and add documentation.

If you'd like to help contribute to this project (art for example), please email me. Just know that it will be unpaid work as I do not have the means to employ people.
